March 5 - first home study appointment with home study agency
March 8 - mailed our fingerprints to our state
March 13 - adoption agency advises us to choose a different country/program than the one we had planned
March 19 - oleanders removed from our backyard
March 22 - fingerprints received: Application for Certification to Adopt filed with AZ court
March 22 - contacted Reece's Rainbow (RR) to tell them we wanted to commit to "Stellan"
April 6 - preliminary paperwork for RR processed: We are officially working to bring "Stellan" home!
April 27 - second home study appointment w/ home inspection
May 14 - fingerprints sent for FBI clearance
May 29 - home study is written; waiting on one document for our home study to be sent to an agency supervisor for review and approval
May 31 - all required documents have been given to our home study agency
June 3 - first payment wired to country to cover the review and translation of documents that will be arriving
June 7 - first apostilled documents hand-delivered in country
June 14 - I-600A mailed to USCIS, home study is pending
June 24 - received text from USCIS that our case has been received
June 26 - home study finished and sent to Arizona
June 28 - FBI clearances received
July 19 - received home study approval from Arizona
August 3 - our home study arrived in the mail
August 5 - mailed our home study with overnight shipping to USCIS
August 12 - received our biometrics appointment date in the mail
August 19 - dossier finished and ready for apostille
August 21 - received an email that his birthday was listed wrong and he is actually 2 years older; documents need to be changed
August 21 - biometrics done
August 22 - approved by USCIS, but now we need to amend our age range
August 28 - received USCIS approval form I-171H in the mail
August 29 - received amended home studies in the mail
August 29 - mailed amendment request to USCIS
August 30 - dossier finished and apostilled (except for I-171H amendment)
September 9 - dossier hand-delivered in country
September 11 - found out we needed to redo one document
September 17 - received our new I-171H in the mail
September 23 - went back to the state capitol for more apostilling
October 3 - the last of our dossier hand-delivered in country
November 7 - paperwork submitted to country (delayed because we couldn't travel until 2014)
December 30 - notified of DAP date in country
January 28 - DAP appointment
January 30 - Met Caleb!
February 19 - Court and favorable judge decision!
March 3 - 10 day wait after court ended
March 4 - paperchase and took him out for passport/visa pics
March 10 - Caleb leaves the orphanage forever!
March 11 - first U.S. Embassy appt.
March 12 - second U.S. Embassy appt.
March 13 - flying home!
