Hanson
I have posted this candle today in honor of Hanson.
There is a page on Reece's Rainbow that I can't look at. It is in loving memory of the orphans RR has featured, some that have had adoptive parents on the way and some that have not, that couldn't hold out any more and went on to the Lord. I have been to the page a few times, to remember those precious children, but I see the photos and then I remember that they are gone, and I just cannot handle it. I just can't.
Hanson was a little boy in Europe that had been waiting for a family of his own until he recently passed. But Hanson had a friend here that after hearing about him, had identified with him, loved him, prayed for him, and advocated for him. And this friend, crushed at the news, has arranged a memorial service for Hanson, today (7/26) in Canada. You can read more about this friend here.
I am really moved by the effort of one who cared so deeply for Hanson, without (as far as I know) ever even meeting him. And out of respect and remembrance, I'm posting this candle in memorial.
I would like to offer this memorial, not only to Hanson, but to the countless other orphans that have passed and have now gone home to the arms of their heavenly Father.
