Our documents have to be less than 6 months old when they're submitted to country.
I already have to redo our marriage certificate. I ordered them when we started the process, but didn't realize they might be time sensitive. They were issued in March. And we will not be ready to submit in September. And they were already apostilled. So I've got to do it again.
I just recently discovered that one step I was assuming would take approximately 30 days could now take more like 75. If that is the case, we will be cutting it close on our document submission. In fact, if it takes 75 days, we will have to redo the forms we have finished now: doctor's forms, passport proofs, house letter, etc.
I was feeling pretty anxious about it earlier. Cried to Matt a little. And my anti-bureaucracy, struggles-with-the-paper-requirements husband assured me that redoing these documents wouldn't be a big deal.
Will you please pray for us? There are three steps between us and dossier submission:
1. home study is finished being edited and sent to AZ
2. home study is approved by AZ and mailed back to us
3. home study is sent to immigration and our application is approved
A more prompt response from any (or all!) of these entities will help us be able to submit the documents we have instead of having to redo them. It's going to be close.
Yes! We are kind of in the same place. Grr.
